About Chapter You
The idea for Chapter You was developed throughout the pandemic.
As psychotherapy was deemed an essential service, I continued to see clients during lockdown.
As time went on, I saw more and more of the same issues emerging..
People didn’t know what was happening in the world from one week to the next, and sure enough, the uncertainty started to breed anxiety.
With the general anxiety also came self-doubt and second-guessing life choices. Many people had extra time on their hands – time to stop and think about things that perhaps were ignored or overshadowed by the constant hustle that we’ve become so accustomed to. As the world slowly returned to a new sense of normal, nearly every client was saying the same thing.
“I’m unhappy with my life, but I don’t know why.”
“I just feel lost.”
“Nothing really has changed, but I don’t enjoy work or meeting my friends anymore.”
‘Zoom’ very quickly became a household term. More and more therapy sessions moved online. Webinars and workshops were now being hosted online or pre-recorded, removing the need to travel miles and set aside extra time.
Chapter You puts personal development in your hands.
While it’s in no way a replacement for therapy, it allows you to dip your toe into topics you may want to delve deeper into, and access psychoeducation from a credible source.
Over the years in private practice, I have developed a toolkit of tried and tested techniques and practical exercises that can truly help you to discover yourself and ultimately understand yourself better.
I wanted to create a safe space for people to learn and grow together.
Chapter You is more than your individual journey, it’s a community of like-minded people who are looking to become better versions of themselves and develop their self-awareness.
You may not be able to re-write your previous chapters, but you can certainly change the way you look at them.
